Melissa has been a dance educator and choreographer for over 18 years. She grew up in Piscataway, NJ dancing within these same walls at Fran's World of Dance. It has always been her dream to own her own studio and she is honored to be re-opening her childhood dance studio and sharing the art of dance with her community. As a student, she competed and won multiple regional and national titles as a member of the Legacy Dance Company and Dance Rave New York. She later went on to perform for the Carnival Cruise Line Tour.

Throughout high school, she was part of the Middlesex County Performing Arts Program and held an internship with the prestigious Randy James Dance Works. Out of high school, she first attended Middlesex County College for Dance and was awarded by the Dean of the school as Most Promising Student in Dance Arts. In those years, she also had the honor or studying at the Jose Limon Institute. Melissa continued her studies at Rider University in conjunction with the Princeton Ballet School. She received her BA in Dance in 2008 and continued her studies to also receive her BA in Business Administration. Melissa is also a long standing member of Dance Educators of America, Dance New Jersey, and The National Dance Educators Organization.

Melissa is not only an award winning dancer, but a very talented and accomplished choreographer. She has won multiple high score and choreography awards, and in 2014 she was awarded the "Top Teacher Award" by Star Systems National Dance Competition.  She was also a staff member for On Point National Dance Competition for multiple seasons, and has judged for many dance competitions across NJ. ​Melissa is a certified acrobatics instructor with the Association of Acrobatic Arts. In addition to dance, Melissa is also a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America.
